To simplify the selection of our naturally variegated clay tones, the Pamments colour range is now presented as curated mixes. This approach celebrates the authentic, non-uniform character of the material, offering a truer sense of its natural variation.
By exploring these blended tones, you can effortlessly discover the overall colour direction that resonates with your vision, while embracing the unique charm of handcrafted clay.

'Antiquing' refers to the characteristic finish of Pamments when sealed using traditional methods. The process begins by impregnating the tiles with boiled linseed oil, which deepens and enriches their natural colour.
To further enhance the aged appearance, an antique wax is then applied. For a lighter effect, a clear wax may be used instead. Historically, beeswax would have been employed, while modern waxes provide superior water and stain resistance.
As this method forms a protective film over the surface, it is suitable for indoor use only, where a damp-proof membrane (DPM) is present. For outdoor applications, a breathable finish is required.
For the most harmonious and consistent result, the antiquing process is best carried out after the Pamments have been installed.
